Java Book, Should You Buy It?
I'm just starting to learn Java, but before that I studied other languages, so I'm basically familiar with programming.
Should I buy the book "Learning Java" by Kathy Sierra, Bert Bates? If not, why not.

If a beginner, then it’s definitely worth reading, but whether to buy is another question. It costs in the range of 376 - 602 UAH, which is expensive for me. It is better to read the book online, and all the source codes can be downloaded from their website.
You can crash on #hoo and everything about everything the people (I don’t single out anyone personally) have money, but when it comes to the book, so immediately #drink the money!
If you have the ability to read and perceive from the screen, then please download. Personally, I am a supporter of paper fiction as a start (the beginning of the action) and already when you more or less understand electronic versions
You don't have to buy anything.
1. There are video lectures on Java on YouTube
2. After that, a reference book and a lot of shit coding
there are many exercises in the book that are designed to work with a pen / pencil in the book - so if you decide to read and study from it, then buy it.
I read the book: for the first book on Java it's good, but there are the very basics.
The book is not bad if you are going to do the exercises from there, otherwise it is useless.
