Java 8, what version is this?
Greetings dear ones.
Here I go here https://www.oracle.com/ru/java/technologies/javase... to the Java SE Downloads download page and there you can download
Java SE 8 ;
Java SE 11 (LTS) ;
Java SE 14 ;
Java SE 15 . A (LTS)
marker means that long-term software support will be provided. All other versions are intermediate, I read this somewhere a year ago, on their website. But those with long-term support, where they have a difference of about 3-5 years, I don’t remember exactly. With regards to java 8, nothing much was said there, because I simply did not find any information.
So my question is - java 8 , what kind of version is it that it has a very long support, and new projects are still being created on it? How is she different from the rest? And also, there is no marker on java 8 (LTS)

The LTS label began to be put after the transition to a semi-annual release cycle, which began with Java 9. Before that, all versions of Java were LTS.
