Jack does not see the audio device

Device — www.pop-music.ru/catalog.php?brand=225&group=40&id=888880001233

Once worked without problems with Ubuntu 9.04. I just plugged it into USB, and a new device appeared in qjackctl.

Now Ubuntu 10.04.3, the machine is different, and jack does not see it.

The device is detected, controlled by the “Volume” applets, with the help of “Sound Recorder” you can record sound into it, but there is an urgent need to switch the signal to the jack in order to actually use it for its intended purpose.

What could be the problem? How to find it, how to fix it?

Maybe you can tell who or where to ask this question?

Thank you!

Maybe pulseaudio is intercepting. It is necessary to run jackd through pasuspender - the pulse from the device will lag behind and jackd will be able to use it.

I decided.
In the process of searching, I removed pulseaudio, perhaps in vain.
The problem was with the qjackctl interface. In the settings window, next to the "Input" field, which contains a drop-down list where you can select an input device, there is another button on the right - I just did not notice it. When I pressed it, a window opened behind it, where it was just possible to specify the second sound card.
