Is Zend Framework dead?

recently switched to a project that uses Zend Framework internally. Before that, I had never encountered the framework and heard only that it is very complex. Although the site of the framework itself is working and everything seems to be downloading, but a trip to the git repository showed that they have not been contributing to the project for two years. the latest updates to the development editor Zend Studio also date back to 2016. It turns out that the framework itself has long stopped in development, although the corporation releasing it still conducts trainings and tells how useful it is for serious development. Who can give an opinion about the relevance of this technology?

The entry threshold is not the lowest, but this is one of the oldest PHP frameworks from people who understand how the Zend Engine works .
Google western vacancies - there are enough of them.
Hasn't been updated in two years? https://github.com/zendframework

No, it's still a very popular framework. It is the granddaddy of all php frameworks. I don't think he will leave anytime soon. I wouldn’t recommend starting to learn it in 2018, but you shouldn’t write it off either.

Updated constantly.
And considering how many sites with php 5.0-5.6, then only its support can be dealt with for another 10 years.

Initially, our service was made on Zend, now we are making a new version on Symfony. Those. within the framework of the labor market - the only option to get a job somewhere is in a legacy project. Which in itself is not very cool.
