Is Vagrant being used in production (VPS)?

I got acquainted with Homestead - I liked it :)

And I immediately thought: what if they raise the same on a VPS - do they do that at all? Or are there any pitfalls?

I know that some people use Docker - but as for me - it's kind of too confusing.

Is Vagrant used on the production server? :)

No. Set up like a human. Preferably without layers in the form of Docker.
If you have to do it often, write Ansible scripts for yourself. It's not hard.

in production, there should be normally installed servers and not layers like vargants and dockers
