Is ubuntu home folder information lost when reinstalling?
Hello. When installing Ubuntu, it was allocated one separate primary partition.
There were no additional sections. I understand that when reinstalling, if no additional partitions were created, all information is lost? That is, you need to create an extended partition and dump everything there?
Thank you!

Depending on disk layout. I have a home folder on a separate partition - it is not lost, because I do not format the partition with it.
Throw everything that matters to you into the cloud. And on a flash drive. And on the remote hard.
Judging by the question, if I were you, I would copy the data somewhere and reinstall the system when your data is away from this computer :)
Mounting the /home/ folder along with the system is suicide :)
Actually, I also asked myself this question .
