Is there some way to check if SHA1 is correct?

There is a sha1 hash. Is there any way to check if it's valid?

Take the original data from which this hash was obtained, calculate again, then compare.
SHA1 gives exactly 160 bits of information. No form of identification, redundancy or crc is provided by the standard.
