Is there RS-232 in modern smartphones or tablets?
Good afternoon everyone.
In various modern pieces of iron (routers, routers .....) there is almost always RS-232, even if not soldered, but there is.
So I’m interested, but in modern tablets, smartphones, is there something like this?
I want to see the process of loading the tablet, and what exactly it hangs on. Without surgical intervention, it’s not like it won’t work))

In some - there is ( Nexus 4, for example ). In some - only JTAG. With the latter, of course, more trouble. But, on the other hand - full access at the lowest level of communication.
Maybe there is, maybe not, the zoo is huge.
If you want to connect a device to your tablet, you have two options.
=USB->RS232 via OTG interface
=Bluetooth->RS232 via HC-05 and similar modules.
