Is there integrity control in the CIFS/SMB protocol?

Or in other words, can files break when uploading to a shared folder or back, if there are problems with network cards, switches, routers, or just a bad cable? I know there are basic checksums in IP/TCP, but that's not the point. I also know that SMB itself has SecuritySigning technology, but I didn’t go into details (and it is disabled by default), is this checksums or just protection against MITM attacks?

From personal experience, files fought on the ball, and small ones were copied without problems, and large ones fought, a defective memory bar was accidentally discovered. Comp-r worked fine without hangups.
