Is there any way to increase the Android swipe area?

Hello. I used to go with an iphone 5 phone, now I switched to Xiaomi Mi A1.
And I noticed a very uncomfortable thing in it: a very small swipe zone, so to speak.
For example: to close a story on Instagram, you need to reach to the very top of the screen, while on an iPhone you could do it from the middle.
To open the side curtain in the play store, you need to directly reach the left corner, but if you hold the phone in one hand, this is very difficult to do. I would like to make a promotion from the middle of the screen.
So is there any way to make swipes in android more "friendly"?
