Is there any way for the site to send messages to the client in viber/telegram/WhatsApp or something similar?

Faced with the need to find a replacement for SMS notifications (the conditions for sending were very tightened and the cost increased by 2-3 times). Surely someone has already encountered a similar problem. The bottom line is that the site can send technical notifications to the user, not necessarily anyone, it is possible and so that the bundle is configured, that is, the user consented to receive such messages. The sites use standard php.

As a result, we turned to this guy: skype: rustam1092 - Rustam (author of this article lon10.net/post/otpravka-soobschenii-telegram-messe... ), he is for 1 tr. installed Telegram on our server and made a test php file that can send messages. We also bought a SIM card for this, which was used so that the telegram verification codes would come. We haven’t tested how it works yet, but in principle it should, the server sends messages and can, among other things, send pictures and some kind of content.
It turned out to be a tool of good notifications, to replace SMS, that's it. We did this exclusively for ourselves, that is, for admins to receive a message, this will not work for users, since not everyone has telegram itself and it is unlikely that it will be possible to send messages to any person
