Is there any reason to go into JS development?

Hello! I want to get advice.
I am a freelancer, I have been developing websites for the last 8 years (layout, stretching on WordPress cms). For 8 years I have made many sites of varying complexity, gradually learning new development methods, now I can html, css, sass, pug, gulp, bootstrap, a little php and basic JS (as well as jquery), and of course WordPress, also worked a little with other cms (Joomla, OpenCart, Bitrix).
Recently, I saw that there is nowhere else to develop further in this direction and it is not very interesting to stand still, developing typical sites. I started to study JS in more detail, I also plan to study js frameworks and libraries (React, Vue.js, possibly Angular). But now the question has arisen: is it reasonable to spend time studying and moving completely to another area of work, since most likely after training I will need to look for remote vacancies as a junior front-end developer (I live in a small town and do not plan to move), I am also interested in the financial side of the issue, since freelancing now averages $800-$1000 per month with a tight schedule, but at the same time I see that $1K per month is the ceiling.
In general, something like this ... I'm waiting for advice!

At one time, with such knowledge (in the distant bearded 2012), they didn’t even let me on the threshold of the office when they started asking for “js basics”, which I didn’t know. And you stagnate for 8 years and trample on knowledge that essentially covers the first year of "study", what did the other 7 years do?)
average $800-$1000 a month with a busy schedule

That is, in 8 years you have grown up to $ 1000 per month on the sites? You have problems)

Yes, they forgot to tell you 8 years ago that the Web is just a daily analysis of new features, of which css-tricks comes in batches, and an attempt to keep up with the train, so it's high time.
remote junior front-end developer

There are no June remoters, just like the remoters from the series jumped a year before the middle, give me money. Your colleagues will get tired in the first week of listening on Skype, or in Slack reading your requests to debug a task. If you want to develop as a developer, just office with smart colleagues and ask nonstop questions.

JavaScript development is primarily a front-end, there are a lot of vacancies, there is a choice for any level and for any salary expectations.
But JavaScript is not limited to the front-end, you can find completely different areas of application.
Learn JavaScript - you can't go wrong!

If you want to grow out of your world, that is.
In general, it’s not even so important where exactly, in js or somewhere else - there are a huge number of areas where there are much more prospects than in pulling templates on WordPress. Yes, almost any area in IT is more promising, to be honest.
What you achieve there is up to you.

Yes, it's worth taking the time and learning React, another level of money. I think even as a junior you can earn your current ceiling.

Yes, there are many vacancies, but in cantors. It’s even a shame that there are no vacancies in freelancing in React, Angular, Vue (well, there are very few of them)

You won’t get to the distance as a junior, and with your growth rate to the middle, you will grow by the same amount. You need to go to the office.
