Is there any point in American hosting for Ukraine and Russia?
Information from here: goo.gl/XvW1s5 Hello
dear friends. My name is Vyacheslav and I, like many of you, was born and lived in a country that no longer exists. In the early 90s, my family immigrated from Kyiv to the USA, where my story begins. I graduated from high school and the university is already here in the United States, received citizenship and married a simple American woman. Basically, I'm a simple American, dressing in T-shirts, going to baseball games, mowing my lawn regularly, and paying taxes to Uncle Sam. For more than 10 years I have had my own business and have been providing Internet hosting services for various corporations and businesses in English-speaking countries of the world. We have thousands of clients from all over the world and we have vast experience in cloud systems, data centers, and the most advanced generation of hardware. Why am I telling you all this?
All these years I have been following the news from Russia, Ukraine, and other CIS countries. You have already grown a whole generation of people who do not know what socialism is. You have adapted all the good and bad examples of Western culture in your own way. You are smart and talented people who, like everyone else, want to live well, work, support each other. I am very impressed and pleased with the pace of development of the Internet in the territory of your countries.
But at the same time, I am very outraged by the outrageous and cynical corruption in all your government bodies. I am not involved in politics and just watch from the sidelines how corrupt officials, judges, prosecutors and police officers impudently take away your business. How to close your Internet sites that are not pleasing to someone. How various security services and police seize servers from offices in order to falsify criminal cases against business owners. How people shut their mouths. You probably better know how it all happens and why. I'm just very offended that my fellow countrymen still do not have complete freedom of speech and the opportunity to live without fear of raids, inspections and confiscations.
If freedom of speech is taken away, then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter.

This is where I got the idea to provide specialized hosting for citizens and legal entities of the CIS countries with all rights and under the protection of laws on the protection of freedom of speech and the US constitution.
Your “Trade secrets” business, your ideas, your databases, your e-mail, websites, all this can be stored in a secure data center where the grabbing hands of the bureaucracy and the judiciary will not reach. Hands are short. Yes, they can arrange a show for you, confiscate office equipment from the office. But they won't be able to access your private databases, private email, and other resources you host with us because we're only subject to US federal and Ohio state laws. We do not have any representatives in the CIS, we live and work in the USA.
All your "Berkuts", "Falcons" and other various shaven-headed guys of athletic build will not break into our offices and data centers. We will provide you with the highest class service as well as all other American and European firms. All our employees are ordinary Americans with good business ethics and highly professional knowledge of their business.

Well, yes, fingers in a vise and here are your accesses, passwords and appearances ...
Europe is quite coping with hosting for the ex-CIS without overseas assistance.
There is no point in American hosting for Russia. The DC is too far away, so the network lag is noticeable.
Well, the question of price. I didn't notice the price tag. @nalimka says it's expensive.
Do not forget about the NSA - they will only be happy to receive all your secrets.
You have a good idea, but I would not change "an awl for soap". Better then both technically and legally hosting in Holland or in another country of continental Europe.
There is an audience for American hosting in the Russian Federation,
I'm telling you as your "potential competitor" (we'll place it in Europe, it's a little closer ..) I'm telling you.
The only point: if you do not create a legal entity (or individual entrepreneur) in the Russian Federation, then the most solvent business audience will disappear for you. Since most Russian companies will not fool around with currency transfers, it is easier to work with Russian legal entities...
