Is there any experience of organizing access control systems in coworking?

It is required to organize an ACS (access control and management system) in a coworking center.
Tasks - automatic calculation of man-hours, access control to various zones (for example, meeting rooms).
I would like to make passes from cardboard with barcodes, which will be accepted by readers installed at the doors both at the entrance and exit. Such passes are issued, for example, in attractions.
At the moment, an access control system from the Bolid - "Orion" is installed, locks-latches are installed on all doors and entry-exit is carried out only with pass cards.
Can anyone suggest any ideas on organizing such an ACS? Maybe someone had something similar?

You can start an opensource project. even on a web server (please do not laugh php + mysql) communication with the real world through arduino for example, read the documentation for your equipment, there may be some kind of api.

I have already suggested solving this problem on Bitrix, that is, on PHP. I contacted the Orion software developers and found out that they have a fairly simple integration interface - you can control the ACS using direct queries to SQL and RPC methods. That is - very flexible and realistic.
