Is there an official instruction to update Galaxy Nexus to 4.1?

I want to flash developers.google.com/android/nexus/images these images on my Galaxy Nexus. The Internet is full of instructions on how to do this with left-handed programs, but I would like to do this only with official tools taken from reliable sources. Is there such an instruction? Thanks in advance.

I did not find an official instruction and it seems to me that there is none at all.
On w3bsit3-dns.com there is an instruction for flashing this image using the fastboot utility, which is in the Android SDK.
