Is there an auto-grid, auto-shading of the grid in adobe illustrator? Maybe there are plugins?

So far I haven’t really googled, but if someone has experience with this, then unsubscribe.
Too lazy to scatter the grid, when it would be possible to make the main contour and automatically "fill" it with a grid, and then color it in the same way. Perhaps someone from the lazy, but more advanced in programming, has already come up with such a plugin?
