Actually, the whole question is in the title. You need an api that provides a list of city indexes by the name of the city you are looking for. Are there any? I found this https://public.opendatasoft.com/api/v1/console/dat... and this geodb-cities-api.wirefreethought.com/docs/api/find... but the first one has a lot of paid things, and the second has less information.
