Is there an API or some kind of service for getting news from the media by criteria?

I would like, let's say, to give the word "Gazprom", and receive in response a list of news on this word. From the Russian media, ideally. Maybe someone is aware of something like this?
Rails used to have a gem that pulled news from Google News. It seemed to work well, but then errors began to come about exceeding the limit.
