Is there already a robot that can copy itself?

Behind a bunch of yellow headlines, you can’t understand where the truth is. Already there are robots that can create themselves? And if so, from what, from sorted parts or from a piece of metal?

Even if there is - why? Most likely, he will need certain details, he will connect them according to the scheme, load a copy of his program into memory. And then what? Then they will create themselves again and there will be four of them. etc. These are already some kind of replicators .
A much better option would be when the robot can create several types of robots for different purposes, and does not copy itself. One type of robots for one task. A kind of UNIX-way.

A 3d printer that can be printed by a 3d printer. And robots in the understanding of how you write - no, they don’t exist at the moment (there were no such publications).
