Is there a working algorithm for evaluating the pronunciation of English words?
The crux of the matter is this. Suppose we have an audio file with a reference pronunciation of an English word. It is required to compare the pronunciation of a person who studies English with these standards and reflect the result in some kind of scale. The first thing that comes to mind is to normalize the signal and simply compare the entire sample head-on. You can also analyze frequencies. Maybe someone has an idea how to organize it correctly? Thank you.

A year ago I bought a disc, so there was a program there that determined your pronunciation and “compared” with the ideal one. After a while, I managed to pronounce the phrases correctly, then I took the English teacher at the institute and showed the work. After 10 minutes, we were sure that the programmers wrote the program according to the ad.
As an alternative, I can give a voice search from Google. He said it right - Google wrote it down correctly, but you can argue with that ...
