Is there a USB 3.0 -> VGA adapter compatible with Ubuntu 18?
You need to connect a monitor via VGA to a laptop that does not have a VGA port (for the future, since the laptop actually has a VGA port, but it is too close to HDMI and cannot accommodate both at the same time)
I took an adapter with USB 3.0 (Type C not on laptop) to VGA, but it doesn't work on Ubuntu 16 and above. Manufacturer - cablexpert, driver developer - Frescologic (under Win10 works with drivers included). Under Ubuntu 14 there are also drivers on GitHub, but they have been abandoned, so they do not work with the version 4 kernel (Ubuntu 14).
There are no details on other adapters, so I'm not sure if they will fit. Tell me a specific adapter, if anyone has come across this.
