Is there a time limit or other limits for the bot to receive messages?

What is the maximum time this message can be stored for the bot to receive it?
Second case:
A bot sits in a group chat and has access to messages. The bot is off. Messages appeared in the chat while the bot was offline. The bot is online.
What are the limits for receiving messages while the bot was offline? (Time, quantity?)
