Is there a statute of limitations for footprints on the Internet?
Good morning!
Let's say a person uses some kind of tor, and accidentally logged into his anonymous account without protection (a classic story about how someone burned himself). However, in essence, the user id + ip is saved. In this regard, I wonder if there is any statute of limitations, after which the user's ip will no longer mean anything (especially if it is dynamic)? It is unlikely that telecom operators keep the ip history of all their subscribers for years.
Update: in other words, how long is the subscriber's ip history kept by the provider? 1 year, 5 years, or more?
Thanks in advance.

No. Information can be stored indefinitely - in archives, caches, databases. With one simple search, I can now find messages that I sent to FIDO (via the ddt.demos.su gate) fifteen years ago. On the forums, many threads are stored for decades.
It is not worth counting on the fact that three years have passed and everything - life from scratch - is not worth it.
1. The statute of limitations is an unknown quantity and tends to infinity.
2. Always set the resolution of site names in the local DNS (.hosts) to the local host (127.0.0.1) that you do not want to access WITHOUT PROTECTION.
Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of August 27, 2005 N 538
12. The telecom operator is obliged to timely update the information contained in the databases about the subscribers of the telecom operator and the communication services provided to them (hereinafter referred to as the databases).
The specified information must be stored by the telecom operator for 3 years and provided to the bodies of the federal security service, and in the case specified in paragraph 3 of these Rules, to the internal affairs bodies by providing round-the-clock remote access to databases.
The question was posed incorrectly. For example, if you go to the phpbb (and not only of course, just as an example) forum, then the IP from which you entered will be recorded for the entire existence of the forum and account on it.
