I'm a simple layman who knows html and css at an average level, but does not know php, and I want to create a small website with a small online store. Why don't I look towards cms? Yes, because all these cms are crap. What are paid, what are free. Well, how crap, maybe not crap ... As they say, "legs" interfere with a bad dancer.
While still a schoolboy, I met DLE. And everything was clear to me. I roughly understood what was behind it, and how it all worked. I even tried to make websites. Well, how to do. I installed the engine, downloaded the template and remade it for myself. But time goes by, a lot of time has already passed and I needed to create a website. I installed the latest version of the DLE engine and realized that it was not created for my requests, but I can’t remake it for myself. Mind is not enough. in php I am full 0. I started looking at other cms. The most popular was wordpress. I downloaded it, installed it, opened the source code and gasped... After dle in wordpress, nothing is clear at all. What does it follow and where do the ends go? Then he began to look. It's like a site header, it's like content. And I'll open the documentation, I thought .... I shouldn't have thought so! It used to be clearer. After scrolling through the first pages of the documentation, I realized that I will not understand wordpress. I download other engines. I install, I look at the source code. Joomla - incomprehensible, Livestreet - incomprehensible, modx - what the hell is this??! This is where the idea came to my mind that cms is not my friend.
Speaking of youtube videos. Videos called "yii for beginners" are divided into 2 types. 1st: Only 3-4 videos out of 50 were recorded. Then, as I understand it, they slaughter this business and don’t shoot it further. 2nd: created for people who know php. Maybe there is some kind of paid series of lessons. I am ready to buy.
