Is there a real alternative or json preprocessor?

The bottom line is that json already turns back because of the inability to refer to objects that are in the current or not .json file and there are no comments. Is there a real replacement that does not exceed the json weight, or is there a better preprocessor to replace it? And that json syntax was.

In order to leave comments, you need to log in

Look at YAML . Since version 1.2, JSON is valid YAML (that is, you can move gradually), there are comments, multi-line literals, and even object references. For configs, it's the most, IMHO.
