Is there a program to generate a playlist from the contents of a folder?

It is not entirely clear what is meant, since almost any normal player (for example, VLC, PotPlayer, 1by1, etc.) perfectly opens all media files from the directory under study into its playlist ..
But if the playlist is needed to play it on external devices in the local network, then I can suggest using the SimpleTV player, with several options for this action..
