I watched video 10. Both ours and foreign ones. Everywhere vpn works either somehow strangely, somehow, sloppily, or through the terminal and downloading a bunch of packages and files.
Give advice to the young and inexperienced. Are there regular vpn apps on ubuntu (or at least linux in general)? To be able to run it, click, and that's it - enjoy the free Internet.

I don't see any problems with using VPNs on Linux.
I have Ubuntu 18.04 on the farm, there is the usual NetworkManager + OpenVPN (network-manager and network-manager-openvpn-gnome packages), everything is configured in the standard network wrapper. It turns on and off with a simple poke into the network icon in the system tray. There is also support for other types of VPNs.

Take a VPS in the Russian Federation, install linux, deploy strongswan (and squid can be up to a heap, the speed will increase a little). Connect two linux via strongswan - tons of manuals are devoted to this. Routing (where through your channel, and where through VPN) is built by politicians, if the speed is normal, you can send everything through VPN.
You can install openvpn instead of strongswan - the solution is no worse, just routing will be configured in the route table.
The IP on the sites will be detected by the one that the VPS has, most likely Moscow.
