Is there a modular OS?
Good afternoon. Please tell me if there is a modular OS, like a CMS.
Let's assume if there is a standard functionality that we can manage in a subtle way, and add some additional modules (dhcp, dns, mysql etc.) that we can also manage through a certain functionality.
Thank you.
Thanks everyone for the replies. I myself found what I was looking for - Webmin .

You've described just about any GNU/Linux distribution shipped in a minimal configuration, delivering the required packages.
Yes, such operating systems are called microkernel.
The most successful, in my opinion, is QNX
Yes, almost any distribution can be gutted in your own way. You can, for example, install the minimum version of the same Debian, and deliver the necessary modules if necessary. Or what is it all about?
What I'm looking for is something like the web interface of the ipfire distribution. Through thin, you can manage the basic settings of the system components. So I think, perhaps there is some kind of distribution kit or component for Linux distribution kits that would be possible to manage components from under a thin client.
