It is required to select settlements at a given distance from which there is a water body.
I asked for the distance between cities, but the river is an array of points, and for some reason I couldn’t find the possibility of working with such objects.
Tell me, does any of the map services support such things?

allows you to build a route along the rivers. In Options: Profile choose "river".

not an array of points but a polygon, this is called, see the OpenStreetMap project and related services to it.
