Is there a Firefox browser extension for scrobbling the music you listen to on vk.com? I couldn't find anything in the add-on search.

I don't think there were any additions. There were Greasemonkey scripts, but they were no longer supported either: Last.FM changed something with the API, VK changed something with the layout.
Inside VK there were applications for listening to music that sent data to Last.FM, and all sorts of third-party services that are based on the VK API.
PS I have been writing my bike for more than six months, so the likelihood that I will finish it is extremely small :)
