Is there a difference in Wordpress plugins?

WP shows over 1000 plugins for "slider".
1. Interested - are there any special differences in them for search engines. Could it be that one plugin is better for SEO and another is worse? What% of such a probable difference?
2. How big can be the difference in site loading speed with this or that plugin? And how do you know this speed? After all, do not test the same 100 other plugins on your site.
(For comparison, we take, of course, plugins that perform the same roles)

Exactly.
Therefore, write plugins for yourself.

1 The bulk of SEO slider plugins harm - slower site loading, unnecessary external links, some add extra h1, some flash, etc., etc.
2 The difference in download speed between different plugins can be very large.

Well, as an option, you can ask your colleagues what plugins they use. If they do not answer, then only check it yourself and look for the right one.
In advance, to somehow narrow down the number of plugins you check, look for those that can lazy load images and initialize themselves after the page is loaded.
