Is the table name plural or not?

What is the correct way to write table names in plural (for example, workers) or not (for example, worker)? Is there any standard about this?

There is no standard, it's a matter of naming convention in a separate command.
The same can be said about naming primary keys. Somewhere they just write Id, and somewhere TableNameId.
From experience, I can say that DBAs often name tables in the singular, and the name of the primary key begins with the table name. Developers are the opposite.
