Is the RSS subscription still alive?

Interesting opinion about the use. Is it relevant to do blogging today?

I use RSS all the time. If your blog is aimed at busy or very busy people, if so, then it will come in handy for a lot of people. Having switched to RSS readers a long time ago, I felt a small, but still time saving. (I actively use netvibes.com )

It hasn't been very popular before, but I don't see any reason not to do it. Blog services and blogs (unless you write your own solution on your knee) have RSS out of the box. On the contrary, you need to make an effort to turn it off.

Many of us at PushAll didn't even know that they had RSS on their site. Helped to automatically integrate the push channel. Without it, many could not make their own implementation.
And so I advise you to use both RSS and push notifications. For ordinary people, RSS is something incomprehensible and unknown, and they see notifications every day.
