Is the Macbook pro 13 2017 good for programming and studying?

Hello, I'm thinking about buying a Macbook pro 13 in the minimum configuration. It is needed for easy programming in C++ and Python and working in Xcode.
Will this laptop handle PyCharm without long freezes (which happens on my old windows machine)? I have not tried IOS development before, I would like to know if this laptop is suitable for simple projects.
The laptop will also be used in school, can you be sure that for 5 years it will serve me faithfully?
I don’t consider 128 GB a problem, I’ll get off with an external HDD.

Generally enough.
But I strongly advise you to watch the 2018 generation, with the 8th generation i5.

The version of 2015 is definitely enough, but it can lag for 2018, I can’t vouch for it, since they began to do worse.

I have a 12 year old. Plugged in 8GB of RAM. Installed an SSD and this machine flies as if it is 5 years younger than its age.

You need to write all the data into an array , and then get the number of all days and subtract 2, 3, 7 from this number.
Then you choose where the day was equal to the calculations and look). I'm too lazy to code, but I think you understand)
