Is the end of the site URL important for PS?

At the moment, .html is added to all URLs of the online store through the directive in .htaccess at the end. There is an opinion that this is not great for SEO. Ideally, each URL should end with a slash. There was an idea: from .htaccess to remove the addition of .html at the end and replace it with a slash. Then make a redirect from old pages with html to new ones with a slash, via: RedirectMatch /(.*)\.html$
/$1/
its ending? And if it's still worth it, then how best to implement it?

The URL ending option never mattered to the PS, don't bother. It is important that the pages do not have duplicates that are simultaneously available at the address with and without a slash at the end.

In general, it probably doesn't.
The last time I came across this was in 2012, then the "cool SEO office" required that the urls of the pages with product lists end in a slash, and the urls of the pages with articles or products in .html.
Then more than once I came across various tasks from SEOs and SEO offices, but no one else paid attention to whether the URL ends in html, php or a slash
