Is the developer de jure responsible for the content?

Hello. I have such a problem, about 2 months ago I received an order on the forum to create an online store on opencart, I only needed to create a layout according to design and upload it to their hosting, adding goods to my work was not included, I did all this and gave them a completely empty Internet -score. I mean, I go there today, and they sell cigarettes in bulk, which seems to me forbidden. Does this threaten me with something? I just created an empty store that I didn’t know what would be sold there months later.

You made a statue of Lenin and sold it to a man. He killed someone in the head with this statue. What will you get for it? It's the same here.

Article 404 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - up to 12 years in prison.

I didn't even know

Ignorance is no excuse.
PS But seriously, whoever gets money from this (customer, owner) will suffer if it's illegal.
