Is the computer dead or can it be revived?
Looks like I got one of my monsters... P5GD2-X with P4-3000 and 4 gigabytes of frame on board.
Symptoms:
There can be two options at startup:
1. Silence (no beeps!), no video signal, coolers are spinning.
2. Normal start, there is a video signal, it freezes either immediately at boot (freezes right on the memory counter), or one or two minutes after entering the BIOS. Hardware monitor shows 70 degrees on the process (does not freeze yet)
If you long press the power button, instead of turning it off, it may restart

disassemble, clean from dust, clean connectors, check electrolytes for swelling.
remove the heatsinks, rinse, put on a new thermal paste.
assemble by carefully inserting all the connectors and wiggling them after insertion.
check - often even such primitive actions are enough to revive.
if it didn’t help, then take it to normal repairmen - they will give a clear answer.
You should always check the PSU first. "Quality nutrition is the key to health", and this is not a metaphor :).
Symptom number 2 clearly indicates overheating.
Remove the cooler, change the thermal paste.
A new cooler for such a socket costs a maximum of $4-6. Buying is not a problem at all if it is overgrown with dust.
It is also mandatory to inspect the motherboard for swollen capacitors.
The next most likely cause is a dead power supply.
