Is the article "Teach Yourself Computer Science" relevant?

I came across the article "Teach Yourself Computer Science" the other day -- teachyourselfcs.com
Has anyone read the books in this article? Is it current now?
The first book there is advised to read SICP. Is the material outdated and is it worth spending your time on it?

SICP will never become obsolete :)
Another thing is to start learning from the functional and Lisp interpreter ... So-so idea, IMHO.
