Is the analysis of algorithms interesting?

In the foreseeable future, I plan to post a post about splay trees. This data structure has a rather non-trivial analysis at the time of work, but it is not clear how interesting it is here.
Since I want to maximize the ratio of text interest to its length, the question arises: "Is this most technically complex analysis necessary?"

It will never be such that everyone unsubscribes "not necessary."
Why ask such stupid questions.

Look: the average number of views of any question here does not exceed a couple of hundred. On Habré, the audience is orders of magnitude larger. Polling your type on Toaster will not give relevant results.
