Is the admin panel on the site a separate section of the site (whose url no one knows about) or just additional features for a user with admin rights?

Hello. I'm starting to develop an admin panel on the site. And then a question arose.
On some sites, the admin panel is made as a separate section of the site. The url of which no one except the admin knows. And on some - it's just that additional features appear on the pages - next to the topic, a cross, for example (to delete a topic), and so on.
The question is how to do better? Are there any other advantages of the secret section, except that the admin can be hacked, and no one knows about the section?

A section that everyone knows about, but only a user with admin rights has access.
And additional buttons on the pages for users with editing rights (admin, moderator, author of the material).

You can't do without a separate section. For example, how to view the list of registered users? Delete them? How to manage their access rights. But do not forget the "separate" chips, they will be convenient for you first of all. For example, quickly approve the publication, or vice versa block it.

Only a separate section, for "additional opportunities" you need to tear off your hands, because then what the hell will you find. As for "no one knows" this section, it happens in very rare systems, or is done independently, and so all these sections have long been known to everyone, such as /wp-admin/, /manager/, /administrator/
