Is Ruby good for Android programming?

I wanted to learn RoR and, of course, I started learning from the basics of Ruby and I really liked the language. So I had a question - is it possible to write applications for Android on it? I found the compiler (or what is it?) Ruboto and now I wonder - is it really possible to write simple applications with it (there can be no talk of games)?

If for yourself, to indulge and do something simple, then it will do.
If the goal is to write a quality program, then no.
