Is Rails a handy websocket tool?

There is a working web portal written in RoR. There was a need to build in it support for websockets. Now I'm looking for and choosing a tool for this. There are a lot of gems https://www.ruby-toolbox.com/categories/HTTP_Pub_Sub , the websocket gem attracts a lot of installs, but there is no RoR example. Tell me who used what to work with websocket?
