Does it make sense to use .NET Framework when .NET Core is available?

Some Windows-specific technologies, such as WCF, are not supported out of the box by .Net Core, due to the multi-platform focus of this framework, so if you need to work with such technologies, you will have to use the .Net Framework. Otherwise, .Net Core is more modern and preferred for development.
