Is LTSP ready for production or how to replace a pirated VDI farm with 120 users for free?

Nach-in headed for the "whitening" of the business, so all software must be licensed. Now MS VDI is used, 53k$ for its legalization + 9k$ annually for VDA business will not pull out. Competitors (Citrix, VMware) at local prices come out almost more expensive. At the same time, the entire office is crammed with thin clients and rather expensive servers have been purchased relatively recently for this business - throwing out / selling and replacing everything with Ubuntu desktops will be almost comparable in cost to the legalization of the VDI installation.
What are the options? Is LTSP ready for use at this scale? How are things with the forwarding of flash drives, microphone, sound? From jobs, we essentially need a pack of instant messengers (Skype, Viber, icq), a productive web browser (20+ tabs with a bunch of flash) and the ability to print files and upload them to a USB flash drive.

After deploying LTSP in a sandbox, it was decided to stay on Windows. Given the need for staff training, Windows becomes cheaper.
Thanks to all.

I don't see any reason why it wasn't ready. the technology has been developed for a long time and, judging by the official website, it is used quite actively. Works with sound, printers and flash drives, for example .
