you can also look towards clearos, and depending on what tasks you need ... in general, I will join the first comment and recommend pfsense too, because not so long ago I myself encountered the same problem as you:
1. zential 4.1 no longer supports proxy functions servers etc. they already cut it out of this release, except maybe install 4.0, so we can say that zentya as a proxy server and mailer is already "dead" ...
2. clearos is quite good, stable, developing for a long time, many settings, etc. bad sediment in view of the fact that in the default settings in the transparent proxy server mode there was no connection for 2 directions via RDP, which was surprising. What's more nice is a lot of modules, both free and with a paid subscription.
3. Having installed pfsense, I realized that this is exactly what is needed for the tasks of the company in which I work. very flexible proxy server, stable and also developing for a long time. (if you install and you don’t get 2.2.1 release, try 2.1.5, many have troubles)
Ps any of these OS requires at least a little familiarization, at least try to put it in a virtual machine, look. Plus, you know more exactly what kind of functionality you need from a proxy.
