Is jre 8u25 + jdk 8u25 correct on MacOS X 10.10?

After switching to Yosemite, there was a problem with the JRE. After starting PhpStorm 8.1 it was required to install jre.
Downloaded from office. site oracle jre 8u25, installed, restarted the computer, opened the terminal, I run java -version, a popup appears with the message "To run java from the console, install jdk". I installed jdk, corrected the plist file to select the correct java, everything works, but the question arises. Why JDK? And how does this bundle work JDK + JRE now? Or was the JRE removed during installation and the JDK remained?

The JDK always has a JRE, don't worry if everything works.
