Is JetBrains WebStorm 2 + Mac terribly slow?

Hello.
Installed Web Storm IDE on Mac (Core 2 Duo 2.26 Ghz, 5GB RAM).

Latest version:
www.jetbrains.com/webstorm/download/index.html#mac I

liked everything, but it slows down a lot on files >= 1500-2000 lines.

Tried to run both in 32-bit mode and in 64-bit. Increased the size of allocated memory in info.plist. Still doesn't help.

What am I doing wrong?

By the fact that the cross-platform IDE on java, that's why it slows down. And this IDE is not the only one, they all slow down on poppies.

The same thing, on core 2 duo 2.4 GHz, 2 GB RAM, in 64 and 32.
I tried it on Linux 2.6.36 under 64, core 2 duo 2.2, 4 GB RAM - visually faster ... There is “san” java.
The process itself eats up about 150 MB of memory, in both cases, i.e. The problem is definitely not memory.
Could it really be a problem with java versions?

It also slows down on large JS files under Windows, they wrote on the forum that they know and will fix it someday.

You are doing everything right. But there is no solution.
Use TextMate, vim. As a last resort, PhpStorm - although it is also in Java, it is faster.
