Is it worth taking a job if the site is on Megagroup CMS.S3?

The other day I had a client and he needs to put the site in order, i.e. carry out internal optimization of the project (fix some errors), trim the design and, in addition, make a mobile version, as well as add some new information. no one is running the site. In the future, the client wants an online store to function on the site.
In general, they threw off my passwords and I was very surprised because I have never been familiar with the Megagroup CMS.S3 engine before and have never met it on the Internet. At least this CMS is not listed in any tops.
The question is the following.
Is it worth taking on this job? or is it better to advise the customer to switch to another platform. going into the admin panel, my hair stands on end, everything is different here and far from 1C, Joomla, Wordpress, DLE and even Modx where there are stray chunks. I really need advice.

In the future, the client wants an online store to function on the site.

You do not need to use Megagroup, Wix and other HS constructors. If the client agrees with the transition to a normal CMS, then do it, otherwise it is better to refuse.

It is an inalienable CMS. Don't forget about it.

As I understand it, this CMS is not just commercial, but is used only by this company (Mediagroup, hereinafter M) . So if the customer wants to change something, then he will have to contact this studio, since it is unlikely that this M will let you dig into its code, and change something else.
If the client works on such (as I see it) closed CMS, then he definitely advised, no, he would even convince him to switch to another, more open CMS.
Or did not undertake, for the order.

My condolences. If I were you, I would explain to the client that if he wants some non-standard functionality for the store, which is not in the standard functionality of this "cms" from megagroups (I would call it a saas service, for that matter), then it will be impossible to add it . At the same time, with a probability of 90%, the same functionality can be added as a plugin in other open source cms, and in the remaining 10%, you can hire a programmer and implement it. In crafts from a megagroup, it is simply impossible to do something atypical.
Yeah. And I would add later that a typical one on a system from a megagroup can cost more than on an open cms (which you already know).

Not worth it. They do not give away their CMS, which is why it is so difficult to leave them, or rather, you can only create a new site.

I somehow faced the same problem for a long time, the site zelenoekreslo.ru suffered . I'll start with the fact that any gestures are paid. There is no access to the code. Slightly change the menu 2500, make the layout of the template for mobile 17 t. Accordingly, it makes no sense to pay out of pocket, and customers save on everything. Often they cannot be explained that for 20 r they can easily order a full-fledged website. I got the impression that platform sites rank worse in search results, but I could be wrong.

Ivan Almost everything that you have listed can be done for free, you just need to know what to do. If anything, write to the mail [email protected] I will advise)

There are no problems with what and on what to work. It's better for you to refuse, this is no longer relevant of course. Now there are less and less programmers and other thinking people, more and more animators - people who grew up on comics. And they don’t have competitions to come up with a new one, let alone do it, but conditionally improve the picture by adding a thicker frame))
