MODX

Is it worth switching to modX from wordpress?

Good afternoon, I have a topic for you to discuss. I am engaged in layout and landing on different CMS sites for customers. I am often asked what I can advise, and I say WP, (if it is a landing page or a blog) for both a simple admin panel and convenient content editing. But when it comes to security and loading speed, WP doesn't seem so confident. This is especially noticeable when a selling landing page takes a lot of time to load for great functionality. After looking at a couple of articles, many wrote that modX is superior to WP in terms of security and speed, but it is not so easy to manage.
Tell me, based on your personal experience, whether it is worth sacrificing a more convenient interface for the sake of security and speed. More precisely, does modX really work faster and better than WP? If yes, please indicate why.

Security always catches up with hacking, does not depend on technologies (including CMS). All CMS release updates, there are no problems with this.
As for the convenience of the admin panel - it's subjective, for example, I like MODX more, by default the user will only work in the resource tree, but it is always visible (maximum 1 click to return the tree). Resource creation - 2 clicks, not difficult.
As for caching, there is no fundamental difference.
As for the frontend, MODX is faster because you control the output code, i.e. incomprehensible plugin scripts will not appear in the code (unless, of course, you understand what you are doing :)). I didn’t notice a serious difference in the backend, in versions up to 2.5, the MODX admin panel slowed down, but then the developers updated it. Again, soon MODX3 will be released, we'll see.
Stretching the layout on MODX is much easier.
However, the entry threshold is higher and MODX is not always convenient, on the same blog - it's easier to install WP, it will turn out faster.
Here is a video of a developer who switched from WP to MODX and explains why (there is, of course, a lot of subjectivity, but you can learn something for yourself) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nRepk9C7VVE
Key, CMS - this is a tool, there is no perfect system, something is better in one, something in another.

Modex has a built-in caching system. Yes, WP has plugins, but not all other WP plugins work correctly with the WP caching plugin. In modex cache out of the box. Modex has a heavy admin panel, but the site itself works faster on modex.
In terms of safety, it's simple. What is more popular is more dangerous.
As for the interface, it is quite convenient in modex.

Much depends on the specific site, hosting and server settings. There are sites on the WP that barely work, there are websites that, on the contrary, work very well. It is worth changing the CMS if for some reason you lack the functionality of the current one. Although, a lot can be solved by means of the VP (with the exception of NORMAL social networks, forums, etc.)
