Is it worth spending time on Groovy?

Is it worth spending time on Groovy? For some reason it seems to me that this language is dying off or am I mistaken? Although Spring is very actively promoting it for their projects.

the developer company abandoned the language and gave it to the community, so the prospects for this language are rather sad, well, it didn’t gain any mass by itself at the best of times, so study something more mainstream.
